Meet Phey

About Me

Hi, I’m Phey — a Columbus, Ohio-based creative with a lifelong love for photography. Growing up in a big family, someone was always behind a camera capturing our memories, so it’s no surprise that documenting life quickly became second nature to me.

Professionally, I work in fashion retail, where I fell in love with the behind-the-scenes magic of photoshoot production and operations. My day-to-day is all about logistics, budgets, and problem-solving — work that’s rewarding, but definitely demanding. That’s where my creative side comes in.

Art is my reset button. Whether I’m painting, doing calligraphy, editing videos, or snapping photos,

creating something beautiful brings me back to myself.

What I love most is being part of the entire creative process — from concept to execution.

But the real magic happens when I get to lead the vision and collaborate with clients to bring their ideas to life.

Oh, and you may be wondering — why Studio Shui?

"Shui" (水) means water in Chinese. I've always been someone who goes with the flow, especially in tricky situations. I trust that things will come together as they’re meant to — and I take that same approach with my art.

While "Shui" reflects my way of moving through the world, it’s also a quiet nod to a part of my heritage that I hold close and am proud to represent.
